Squadron 105 Installs New Officers

(13 MAY 2024) – BELLEVILLE, NJ

The newly elected and appointed officers of Sons of the American Legion (SAL) Squadron 105 of Belleville, NJ were installed on Monday 13 May at a brief ceremony by Post Commander Joe Cobianchi.

“You have been chosen to fill the various offices of this squadron. You will, I know, vindicate the trust that has been reposed in you, and fulfill in every way the obligations that trust entails”, began Commander Cobianchi in reading the scripted installation.

The officers were all elected at the previous meeting in April by the squadron membership, being installed the following month at the regular general meeting in front of those members present which included family.

These officers will serve for the 2024-25 administrative year, which will expire next May. The leadership team includes:

·      Squadron Commander Steve Sangemino, elected for his sixth term

·      Squadron 1st Vice Commander James Elsmore

·      Squadron 2nd Vice Comamnder Vinnie Ferriole

·      Squadron 3rd Vice Commander Richard Vlasakakis

·      Squadron Adjutant and Finance Officer Rusty Myers

·      Squadron Chaplain Carl Slaughter

·      Squadron Sergeant-at-arms Joe Florenza

·      Squadron Historian Anthony Noto

·      Squadron Service Officer Robert Hildebrandt
