Rehabilitation - Hospital Committee

It shall be the function of this committee to provide within authorized limits, the general social welfare of Veterans of New Jersey who shall be patients, inmates or members of any institution - federal, state, or county, and for veterans in the military base hospital at Fort Dix, NJ.

The committee shall be empowered to represent The American Legion Department of New Jersey, in conference or cooperation with all proper public or civic agencies concerned with the Social Service problems, particularly as relates to veterans, provided however, that such representation shall conform to established American Legion policy, and further that the committee shall not commit the Department to programs or projects beyond the scope of American Legion responsibility without the specific consent of a convention or the Department Executive Committee.
